Respect If you have self-respect, then you gain other's respect. If an employee is talking ugly to the manager and the manager do not stop the employee, the rest of the employees will start doing the same because they feel that the manager is not stopping the employee. I place respect at the top of the list because I believe that when people have respect for themselves and one another, it avoids conflict.

Trustworthiness At the job I am employed with I am responsible for an expense account. Many employees who have been responsible for this account has missed handle the funds. I have proven myself loyal to the job and my account has been increased. I place trustworthiness second because when people trust you, they usually give a lot more than they would if they did not trust you.

Responsibility I had to order supplies for the company and when placing my order, I ordered 225 cases of Glucerna instead of 522. This was a big mistake on my part. I could have placed the blame on my assistant but I took the responsibility for my mistake. I place responsibility third because when a person is responsible, they are held accountable for their actions and realize this.

Caring We had an employee whom boyfriend was physically abusing her. She was telling all the patients her personal business. When it came time for her evaluation, I had to put my personal feeling aside and tell her that she was going to have to make a choice. I place caring fourth because we either care about our company or care about our co-workers, there is always something to care about.

Fairness I had some employees that stated that I was very rude and unprofessional on the phone to them. The manager called both of them in and questioned them on the situation. After hearing their explanations, she used fairness in making her decision. I was not penalized for what they said I did. Which was not true.
