The Baderman Island Resort has become one of the premier all-inclusive vacation destinations. Although the current accommodations are fitting for a relaxing week away from the daily grind of work, the executives at Baderman have decided to expand. The expansion will double the current development and add many new amenities to our clients' choices. The expansion is not without concern, in order to expand the executives at Baderman our faced with a couple of public relations issues.

First, our expansion will cause us to build in a wilderness area adjacent to our present resort. This may cause a public relations problem considering the company's views on wilderness preservation. The architects have built in a wilderness preserve in the expansion plans, but we need to be proactive in the community understanding the company plans.

Second, the public relations department needs to convey that the expansion of Baderman Island resort will help the local economy. We need to let our local constituents know that the expansion will create more jobs for the area. The building of the resort will bring construction jobs and the finished product will provide employment to a number of local residents. By doubling the current area, our current staff will also double. We will need to focus on specialized personnel hiring for jobs such as instructors for SCUBA and wildlife preservationist for the planned wildlife area. These are some of the public relations concerns facing our company and executives.

What a fantastic opportunity for the expansion of Baderman Island Resort. This expansion is not only a plus for the resort in a very big way, but all of the added benefits that connect the different communities.

In this PR campaign, there are many avenues to attract the attention of most affected communities by this expansion. Not all concerned parties will have there issues addressed. This gives us an opportunity to concentrate our expansion to the parties most affected by our future endeavors. The first campaign we should address is to our loyal customers. An advertised special rate or discount to previous guests of the resort is a great way to help promote our expansion.

With the added 300 acres of space for the convention center, this is an incentive to concentrate on the convention side of the business. The focus on filling the added rooms with conventions should be in relations to botanical and wildlife convention groups. They would come to the resort to experience the added value this expansion has to the wildlife and preservationist groups. The convention groups with an affiliation of wildlife and botanical cultures would help promote the benefits of this added treasure to groups nationwide upon return to their residences outside the community of Baderman Island Resort.

The local community will definitely get an uplift in benefits from the Baderman expansion. The focus on the PR campaign should also be extended to the local economy.

This is where the construction workers are going to come from. The needed tradesmen and employees for this endeavor are going to be many. If a concentration on how this resort expansion will boost the local economy and revenue, it will turn out to be a positive public relations issue and diminish the possibilities of this producing a negative impact on the local

Community.

The potential implications of expansion of the Baderman Island Resort can be devastation if they are not properly address and handled in an ethical manner.

Expanding into the wilderness can create an environmental hazard if the resort does not set standards for utilization of the facilities and construction of the facilities. Preservation of the wilderness is not generally considered an ethical situation; however, practicing behavior consistent with taking care of the wilderness is an ethical concern. Several ideas about wilderness ethics involve using camp stoves instead of fires, packing out all garbage, and using existing trails. Additional issues revolve around the increase building plans that remove or cultivate a wilderness area and ensure the environment is protected.
