Do Clones Go Home Or Here To Stay

In our society today, Human beings all over the world are in search for one thing, which is the evolution of technology in science. This particular evolution in science is called human cloning, which is the reproduction of homo sapiens through DNA process with out sexual contact between a male and female. The process of human cloning has received very different aspects between society and is also known as the most controversial debates in decade as we know.

First, to determine why human cloning is controversial, there must be understanding of what human cloning is and what does cloning do. The science technology of cloning has been divided up to three parts which are:(1) recombinant DNA or DNA cloning, (2) reproductive cloning, and (3) therapeutic cloning. (Human Genome 1) DNA cloning or recombinant DNA technology are referred when the cloning process is transferred from a DNA fragment to a self -replicating element, this DNA process has been practiced in biology labs ever since the 70's. (Human Genome 2) Science today, has also practiced the recreation of animals besides humans which is called the reproductive cloning. Reproductive cloning is also referred in a process called "somatic cell nuclear transfer" which is scientists transfer genes from the nucleus of an adult donor to an egg which has been treated with chemicals in order to stimulate cell division, which results into a cloned embryo. (Human Genome 2) The final part of cloning, is also the most controversial part of cloning, which is "Therapeutic Cloning". This type of science can be also called "embryo cloning" which is the production of human embryos for the uses to treat diseases such as Alzheimer's, cancer, paraplegics, and other severe diseases. (Human Genome 3)

The Human Cloning process has pros and cons when resulting in this particular issue. For instance the negatives usually resolve in religion and/or human ethics. For Instance, the Roman Catholic Church has stated their official statement about cloning, which states that "every possible act of cloning humans is intrinsically evil" and also could never be justified. (Religious and Ethical 2) The Roman Catholic Church has given these type of statements due to the fact that Catholics believe that all men have been created by the image of God and believe that cloning is immoral and clearly inhumane.(NewsBank 1) Other Christians show their feelings towards the science of cloning by believing that human clones have no existence of inner soul, and also may be considered evil.(Religious and Ethical 3) On the other hand, the Jewish religion believes that man shows just partners with God, and that humans are obligated to evolve in life, whether it is technology, science, or family as long as they can show justification. In fact, some Jewish scholars say that"potential violations of human dignity are reason enough to prohibit human cloning. (Religious and Ethical 3) Other than Religious views on human cloning, there are other ethical opinions or concerns that may be believed to oppose the evolution of embryo cloning. For instance their might be greater chance of miscarriages , which may also result in spontaneous abortions and may also show in statistics as a massive recession in births around the world. (Religious Tolerance 4) There is also belief that the parents of the embryo (cloned child) may recognize the embryo as an object, and
