I have recently read the short story entitled "The Tell-Tale Heart". This story was written in 1843 by Edgar Allen Poe. This is somewhat of a frightening and creepy story. I usually don't like these types of stories because they usually don't have a point. "The Tell-Tale Heart" is one of the exeptions. Some of Poe's other stories also appeal to me.

"The Tell-Tale Heart" ia a story in which a servant kills his master, the old man. The reason for this is that the eye of the old man is like that of a vulture. The servant loves tthe old man very much, but hates the eye. Eventually, after nights of peering in on the old man in his sleep, the servant kills the old man. He chopped the old man up into peices and put him under the parlor floorboards. In this part of the story, the servant did have reason for doing what he did. In some other stories and films, people seem to kill for no apparent reason at all. Thus, this story is different from others.

"The Tell-Tale Heart" is a good story for young adults to read. They should be interested in this because some of the good readers these days are young, and they are usually very intellectual. This story was a bit challenging to comprehend because of the mixed plotline. Eventually, the police came to the old man's house and the servant told the men that he was on vacation. I don't think the servant should have started any conversation with the men. Because of the guilt the servant was burdening, he told the men where he buried the master. I think that the smell of the body would have given the location away.

This story is all in all, very truthful. This very well could happen and may already have happened. This is a good murder gone wrong. I personally think the man could have gotten away with this crime if only he had not talked to the police. This is a very good story if you can understand it fully.
