An Organization that works together and is dedicated to the improvement, and empowerment of the business, in my definition, this is what I call the cornerstone of that business. The opportunities for a business to flourish, is put on the responsibility of having an effective organizational team, within the company. Many businesses today are finding that the use of, well established groups, within their organizations, have helped to enforce and organize the business's ultimate goal; the continued success of the business. Among the group, there are certain qualities that are needed in order for this goal to be accomplished. An Organization must have complete understandings of these areas, Organizational behaviors, cultures, diversities, communications, effectiveness, efficiency and be able to learn from one's mistakes.

Having an understanding of the word organizational behavior, one has to know the meaning. "Organizational behavior is the study of human behavior in an organizational settings, the interface between human behavior and the organization, and the organization itself. The study of organizational behavior is important because organizations have a powerful influence over our lives." (Griffin & Moorhead) Within all businesses, there are many behavior patterns. I can relate this to my many experiences on being part of a team, when I was a previous employee, of the Waffle House Restaurants.

Waffle House is a southern franchise that has had a large impact on the southern states. The examples of this company's success have lied upon their understanding of their staff and the customers, in which they attract. Learning to be distinctive in nature, they have managed to successfully integrated a complete system, based on their employee's abilities. Waffle House has never been one of those restaurants that use paper orders, but in fact they use a call a system, in which the waitress, verbally calls the order to the cooks themselves. The cooks in return call back the orders and are able to memorize each individual order that they receive.

The showings of constant communication amongst the employees are phenomenal. Each employee has to be dependent on each other, to maintain their abilities to serve the customer in an efficient or what we called, in an organized manner. Allot of the customers did not use English as their first language. I found myself learning small amounts of vocabulary in other languages, for the task to complete customer orders given by many foreigners. Many of the waitresses that were being hired were able to speak more than one language. With more communication skills being use within the Waffle house, it gave a bigger business advantage of drawing in more potential customers.

Having to work for such a diverse company, I found out that diversity played a big part within the company. Waffle House has always been viewed as a southern thing. Many of its employee's are a direct implication of the south. I have rarely seen foreigners being hired within this organization. I remember a time that someone did apply for the position that barely spoke English. This person did not speak any of the popular languages, such as Spanish, or French. Her dialect was so strong that it made it, hard to understand her orders. Because Waffle House was created by diversity, in nature, they were not going to give up. Change was part of their motto, and it was always good for business. To me, showing diversity means that you are willing to adapt for the greater good of the company.
