Pastiche Ð'- War
War Ð'- just another stupid opportunity for some phony politician to boast about how goddam mighty his country is; a chance to show off his mighty guns and mighty planes; a mighty pain in the ass if you ask me. They're not even discrete about it. They have to stand on top of their little soap boxes and advertise their goddam supremacy to the entire world. The phonies don't even get their hands dirty. Those selfish bastards at the top orchestrate the war from their little podium, leaving their poor musicians to do all the fighting. I don't exactly know what I mean by that, but I mean it.
War makes people go mad, I've seen it. They leave feeling all patriotic and come back different, all glum and serious, you know. What a nice reward. That's what you get for serving your country. It's sort of depressing, you try to do a good deed for a change, and it ends up messing you up for life. You can't feel too bad for them though. I mean, they must have seen it coming. What the hell do you think would happen if you saw all that gore? That stuff will scar you.
I don't get who wins in a war anyway. A little bit of land doesn't seem like much incentive to put all those people at risk and all. It makes me sad, it really does. How can someone be willing to sacrifice the goddam well-being of their country and the lives of their citizens? For the greater good? Greater good my ass. There's no way war can lead to this so-called greater good. Take all the goddam money it costs to buy guns and all and use it on something worthwhile. Use it on healthcare or education or something.
Why do people always possess this desire for more anyway? It's terrible. They have this goddam fixation on having more territory, more money, a bigger house, a better car. Why can't anyone ever be satisfied with what they've got? These guys can
