A million years ago, the sky was black all of the time. The animals were tired of it being dark all of the time because they would not see anything. The animals wanted to create light, so they asked the ruler, Hawkster Bean, to create light for all of the animals on the Earth.

Hawkster Bean picked a lemon off of a tree and held it in his beak as he flew up, up, up, until he couldn't see the Earth. Hawkster Bean released the lemon from its beak and it grew and grew until it was three times the size of the Earth. He flew back to Earth and looked up into the sky, but it was too bright to see. All of the animals on Earth also agreed with Hawkster Bean, and complained that they couldn't even open their eyes because it was too bright.

Hawkster Bean tried to find a way to make lemon shine a bit darker without getting rid of the light altogether, or else he would have the same problem as he did in the beginning. Hawkster Bean picked up some grass and carried it back up into the sky and released it on the lemon. Almost instantly after he released the grass onto the lemon it turned blue, because yellow and green make blue. He thought it was a good amount of light, but he had to see what the animals on Earth had to say.

He flew back to Earth and all the animals said it was a perfect amount of light. The animals could now see everything they were doing! The animals celebrated all day long to thank Hawkster Bean for creating light on Earth. That is why today we see a blue sky.
