It doesn't take twice as long to produce two batches as it does to produce one batch, because we can start mixing the second batch without having to wait for the whole first-batch process to be completed (we can start washing out the bowl as soon as we finish filling the tray).
Plus, for the second order, we have to wait 2 minutes to finish baking process of the first order for using the owen again.
It is possible to produce two batches in 36 minutes. This shows that it takes an additional 10 minutes for each extra dozen (Similarly it takes 46 minutes to produce 3 dozen). In 4 hours per night, it is possible to produce 22 dozen of cookies.

We have two type of cost : ingredients and labor. The cost of ingredients is the same per dozen, no matter how many dozen we bake. But the labor cost differs.
For one dozen cookie, as we state above, total labor minutes is 12 minutes. (8 for me; 4 for my roommate)
But if we make two dozen cookies, it increase to 17 minutes. (10 for me; 7 for my roommate)
