Schindler's List

Do people change by influence of others or by just living a harsh experience, or maybe people just don't change at all? At the beginning of the movie we are introduced to Oskar Schindler a women loving, partying Nazi, who we see only cares about getting richer. Schindler hires Itzhak Stern, a Jewish accountant which helps Oskar manage his factory. During the course of the movie we see how these two persons bond and change, how do they help each other mutually.

Oskar Schindler, a woman's man, a party animal, a money addict, Schindler enters looking for the abundant work force in Krakow to manufacture goods for the army. He makes a good impression with the SS officials, with this impression he befriends them and uses them to get the business he wants. He then encounters his accountant, Itzhak Stern, in a long line of Jews and convinces him to be his administrator. At first it is shown Schindler's bad side, well from the point of view of the Jews, the side that he only sees them as a work force and nothing more, he doesn't take into consideration what if going to happen to them.. Stern is at first harsh and mean with Oskar concerning the ways of his method, but then he starts to loosen up when he notices that Schindler is starting to care about saving the Jews Stern hires for work.. Schindler starts to have a stronger affection towards stern when its shown he gives his watch to him. Slowly Stern and the Jews start to have an effect on him. Stern is motivating and helping him save the Jews. At the end is shown how Schindler, even though after saving the lives of over 1,100 Jews, is crying because he could have saved more lives, he used up so much money in worthless things, also he could have sold his car, 10 more people he said, then we are shown how Stern tends to him to consolate him that he saved a lot of lives and he did his best, he had nothing to cry about.
