Sonny's Blues and The Rich Brother Compare and Contrast
In both Sonny's Blues and The Rich Brother there is one sibling who has a bright future and one who might not be viewed as effective by most. Pete in The Rich Brother is the effective sibling while Donald isn't. The topic of that story is who the rich one is. In Sonny's Blues is considered by his sibling to be unsuccessful. The storyteller of the story in Sonny's Blues is Sonny's more established sibling and he is a well off variable based math educator. In the two stories there is one sibling who is thought to be fruitful by all accounts and one who might be thought to be unsuccessful.
The question for the two stories is who is genuinely the "rich" or the effective one in the family. In The Rich Brother is Donald the rich sibling by being rich of psyche or him purchasing stock in the mining organization Webster had? In Sonny's Blues a similar inquiry applies to Sonny and his sibling. Sonny's more seasoned sibling has a family and a solid employment, however Sonny is a fruitful artist in the neighborhood group.
Donald and Sonny are both comparative characters. Both are the more youthful kin to a sibling who was not included with them while they growing up. The more seasoned siblings had not played the part of being a more established sibling genuinely. They are both thought to be troubles by their more established siblings who feel in charge of dealing with them. Pete takes a gander at Donald and considers him a freeloader and miracles on the off chance that he will ever get everything in order. Sonny's more seasoned sibling does not think about Sonny's melodic gifts and his lifestyle to be a feasible alternative for him. This is obvious when the storyteller recalls the time his mom kicked the bucket and he requested that what Sonny needed do with his life. Sonny discloses to him that he needs to be an artist and the storyteller does not view this as a plausibility
