Are you one that needs to wear glasses? For some people glasses are a necessity for everyday use. I know from personal experience that glasses are sometimes horrible to wear and get annoying. Well, contact lens are here to help us get a break from our glasses. Have you ever tried to put in contact lens? If so, you understand how frustrating they can be especially when it’s your first time. Luckily I have the steps to put in contact lens the correct way.

To begin with, you should always keep your lens in contact lens solution. This solution disinfects, cleans, and rinse your contacts. You should also become familiar with the recommended date to dispose of the contacts. Next, before you touch your contacts always wash your hands with soap thoroughly. By washing your hands it helps keep your contacts clean when transferring them into your eye. When drying your hands it is preferred to use a clean towel and not paper towels as they can leave behind pieces.

The next step is to remove your contact lens from their container. If your eyes have different perscription double check which lens you are going to put in first. To remove your lens, gently pinch your lens from the case and pick up slowly. Remember to handle your contacts carefully. After you picked up the lens carefully maneuver the lens to the index finger you are most comfortable using. If you are right-handed use your right index finger, if you are left-handed use your left index finger. Remember to always use the skin on your finger and not the nail. After you moved your lens to the correct finger check it over carefully. Check for any rips, tears or debris.

Continuing, to put the lens in your eye, you have to gently lift the skin of your upper eye with the opposite hand you are holding your lens with.
