Drunk driving checkpoints I believe help the public because when you randomly stop driver you might catch someone that you might not have. It reflects public-order interests because drunk driving effects others not just the individual. This strategy is very effective in reducing crime. If you are convicted of three felonies you should definitely serve a life sentence. You didn't learn your lesson after 3 times then you shouldn't be allowed another. This effects public and individual rights depending on the crimes. This is somewhat effective in controlling crime. The only bad thing is that it's after 3 times. I think if you commit the same crime twice you should serve a life sentence. I don't completely agree with aggressive police force in high crime areas because then the residents have a habit of rebelling and causing more crime to happen. I think the idea is right but its an cause more of a problem. This would definitely effect public order because its dealing with an area rather than the person. By increasing the number of crimes that are eligible for a death sentence is good because people for the most part value life. They my not value the law but the will definitely think different when it could be there life. This effects the individual rights due to the person being sentenced to a life sentence. I believe this is very effective in controlling crime. I think if the drug is harsh enough then a life sentence is in order but if it's a small time drug like weed then I think a life sentence is not needed. I understand that drugs effect the public and the individual rights but if you lock up all drug lords involving all drugs then you would have over packed jails all serving life sentences. There are way to many people on the streets selling drugs that it would almost be tedious arresting all of them for a life sentence.
