A Castoff Child Who Grew Up To Be A Queen
A Review of a Current Event
Venus Marie Manuel started off as being a failure to society to becoming a smart, kind and strong queen. Marie has set the example of not accepting the negative talk that society had planned for foster children, but rather she sets the stage to becoming a role model to excel through positive achievements.
Venus is a twenty three year old girl who was placed and replaced on numerous of occasion to different foster homes. She passed through nine homes before she was able to leave the foster care system. Being a product of being a foster child, Venus now is an advocate to other younger people that is wearing her shoes that she wore twenty three years ago. The positive side of becoming what they plan to become once they leave the foster system. Keeping in mind the way she felt our foster home, she also wants to express herself to the foster care institutions that it is important to have a smooth transition from foster care to the real world.
