LONDON
Out of the two weeks in England, we went to the most popular city in England, London. With more than seventeen million overseas visitors in 2014, this famous city is the world’s most popular tourist destination. We were fortunate enough to spend a day there and during our trip, my most memorable part was when we went to the Hampton Court and Covent Garden.

The interior of the palace has a vast resemblance to the architectural style of Oxford and Cambridge. Not only were we able to experience the lives of medieval royalties, we were able to have more insight on how they lived.
Covent Garden is the home to various street performers, elegant buildings, shops, cafes, pubs, theatres and other entertainment facilities. During the seventh century, what is now Covent Garden used to be a busy Saxon trading port called Ludenwic. It was abandoned once the Viking invaders became too dangerous in the ninth century. We went to the Covent Garden Piazza, one of the most entertaining parts of London filled with street performers and about forty market stalls. We really got to fully experience the busy lifestyles of Londoners and we managed to eat many of their famous foods including herbed Yorkshire pudding and scones.
The trip to London was certainly going to be an unforgettable one since we managed to see how Londoners live and have a deeper understanding on how London
