As a young women growing up today I have the ability to make many choices within my life. I can choose the President, change laws, choose a college, and even choose whether I want to have a baby or get an abortion. Even when typing all of the examples of what I can choose from, the option of abortion does not appear to fit in. Often times I question the right that is given to women to deliberately and viscously take a life. Within this paper I will present other options that young women have to abortion.
One alternative to abortion is adoption. Many adoptions allow the mother to remain anonymous and ensure that the child is put into a safe home. Secondly, a woman may even choose to keep the child. There are many non-profit agencies that can help women get stared and show them the benefits that they have to keeping their children.
One way to convince people to save the life of their baby is by giving them an ultrasound.
After showing women the new life that they created which is budding inside them, they often have a more difficult time letting the baby go.
After researching my options I have decided that abortion is not an alternative for me. I know that I am not God or a higher power and therefore I have no right to decide when to end a life, especially not one that I created. There are so many females getting pregnant that are my age. I believe that work needs to be done to reach out to these women and inform them of their options. Perhaps then they will think twice before having sex without contraception, because I know that I will.
