ABORTION
I picked this topic because this is a very important issue among a lot of people. Some people have very strong issues pertaining to this issue. Some believe that having an abortion should be a woman's personal choice. Others believe that abortion is another way of murdering a baby.
I believe that a woman should have the right to do what she feels is necessary to do. A women has the right to choose, a right to speak, and a right to get an abortion if she chooses to. That is why they legalized abortion and opened the first abortion clinic. Of course there are negative and positive issues regarding abortion.
The positive thing about abortion is that if you are financially unstable and there is no way that you can afford to take care of a baby, then you can choose to get an abortion. If you are raped and there is no way emotionally that you will want to have this baby, then you have the right to an abortion. If for any reason you believe that you are too young or too old to have a baby then there is the possibility of an abortion.
There are negative aspects of abortion also. There could possibly be physical complications as well as psychological consequences. During the abortion some women have experienced pain during the procedure despite the anesthesia. Complications such as bladder and uterine perforations are common. Having an abortion may also cause the woman to have nightmares or negative after effects.
I know that some people will find more negative effects of abortion than positive ones, but I believe that we have the right to decide whether we get an abortion. This topic is something that can never be right or wrong because everyone has his or her own opinion regarding this subject. Its just a subject that no one is going to win.
