This makes a convenience for an educator to use appropriate methods to settle different learners. In contrary, communication skill also acts as an important component in businesses. Businesses usually seek for good communicators since they always contribute a lot to an organization. A good communication skill is essential for a leader as well, where workers are able to follow the instruction given. Conversely, businesses operations may affected with the absence of communication skills. Additionally, better communication skill is extremely important during interaction with customers and suppliers. A positive relationship with them can ensure a business to generate maximum amount of profit. Lastly, the recommendations to improve communication skills are included. 3.1 Communication skills
Communication skills refer to the technique which the people use to communicate with others. It can be defined as the abilities to deliver information, knowledge, ideas or expression from one to another efficiently and effectively (Anon., n.d.). There are various types of communication skills such as verbal communication skills, non-verbal communication skills, written communication skills, reading skills, listening skills and visualizations (Anon., n.d.).
Verbal communication involves the use of language and sounds to get information across to another person, such as public speaking and interpersonal communication (Hanes, 2015). Conversely, there is no any exchange of words in non-verbal communication. It is using body language, facial expression or postures to deliver a silent message (Segal, Jeanne, Smith, Melinda, Boose, Greg and Jaffe, Jaelline, 2015). Other than that, written communication skills enables information sent via words, like internet, book or letter (Mikoluk, 2013). Furthermore, reading skills involve interpreting and understanding a visible message, whereas listening skills refer to the capability to receive and analyze the messages precisely (Anon., n.d.). Visualization engages representing data in the form of images, for instance graph, charts or maps. It is essential for imparting a complicated data, like statistic (Anon., n.d.).
Effective communication skills are essential in all facet of our life. The effectiveness can be measured by how well the information can be conveyed and received (Anon., n.d.). An absence of effective communication skills lead to a confusion and misunderstanding arises, which may cause conflicts or even public disorder (Lee, 2010). Likewise, the importance of communication skills cannot be undervalued. It is the foundation that drives the process of development in various fields such as education and business (Crystal, 2011).

Communication skills are inevitably important in education. It is the abilities to communicate either between educators, learners, educators to learners, educators to parents or vice versa. Good communication skills which developed in education help learners to reach their goals (Andrade, 2015). Generally, education consists of fifty percent knowledge and another fifty percent is communication skills. In other words, it’s more important for a teacher to emphasize on the presentation of a lesson rather than the quality of lecture (Srivastava, 2011).
As everyone knows that education plays a vital role in the process of imparting knowledge, even mind or behavior from educators to learners. The importance of communication skill can be seen since it acts as a tool which enables the interactions between the educators and learners (Crystal, 2011). During the interaction processes, educators demand excellent communication skills so that they are talented in listening and understanding the thoughts or questions of the learners. Afterward, they will show clearness explanations when elaborating to the learner so that they are able to analyze intricate stuff into easy steps (Bharti, 2015). This action allows new ideas and theories to be absorbed easily and quickly by the learner. Hence, the process of educating is enhanced and a better outcome can be created. (R Prozesky, 2000). Nonetheless, lack of communication skills, meaning educators are unable to impart what they know, learners be likely to be less involved and lose motivation to acquire knowledge (Srivastava, 2011).
