In this admission essay paper, I will discuss my various strengths and various weaknesses, along with whom I would like to become and the person that I currently am now. A higher education will give me many benefits in these areas and better job security. A bachelor=s degree will also give me benefits such as boosting my self-confidence, helping me to learn specialized knowledge, and help me with my business and communication skills.

As I began to think about what really matters most to me in my career, I realized that over this past year, that feeling, that sense of purpose within my company, has someway disappeared. I have become insecure in my position of employment as I do not have the knowledge and education needed to fulfill my current role. This is a very exciting time for me in my career life. Currently, I am the billing director of 30 staff members and play an important role overseeing the medical billing for approximately 80 physicians. My day consists of various jobs from answering emails, questions, providing monthly reporting, managing and supervising, communicating and maintaining good relations with our clients. I am happy with all of the accomplishments that I have made and my current role in my job but would like to become much more as I feel with this higher education I could reach some of the goals that I have set within my company and my personal life. My friends and family are starting to get tired of my daily excuses such as, AI can=t make it because I have to work late.@ I want to become more efficient in what I do to allow more time for my personal life but still get the job done and advance in my career. I want to take what I learned and expand that to our company to become better and bigger but still allow time for my family and personal life.

Several of my strengths are centered around my profession because the majority of my time in life is spent there as my average work week consists of approximately 55 hours. Since the company that I am employed with is a start-up company, they did not have the necessary funds available to provide training to our employees from the outside, along with not being able to hire employees with the desirable skill set. I was able to bring 29 employees with all different backgrounds and skills to a highly motivated, knowledgeable, and an efficient team. Another strength of mine is that I have a great ability to adapt with change. I welcome challenges and expectations in my life and consider them as a new learning experience and an adventure. I see change as a positive and not a negative. In my current position you have to complete many tasks throughout the day, as the demands are very high, I feel that I am multi tasked and able to prioritize my day efficiently. My biggest strength would have to be that I am very responsive to my staff and visual to what their needs are. I will not ignore other peoples needs or requests in order to get my tasks complete.

Throughout my career, my weaknesses tend to become more visual, as we get bigger and busier. I feel that the stem of the majority of my weaknesses is from obtaining my position from within the company and not receiving the proper skills through education that is really required with the role that I am in. I fell into place with my position with an Associates Degree in Medical
