EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This project is an attempt to give knowledge about ONGC Hazira. It aims to make its reader well versed with each and every aspect of ONGC-Hazira.
The petroleum industry has always witnessed the up and down of the market. As the market of petroleum products is highly driven by the demand and Supply of Crude oil, which is controlled by the Group of producers.
The supply of the crude oil is also depends on the geo political issues, as the 80% of worlds crude oil reserve are in place to those countries which not politically stable. Any exigencies or sanctions in those countries will have a huge impact on the pricing of crude oil.
Recently it has been observed that the implementation new technologies to discover unconventional reserve of Oil and Gas is also having a huge impact on the crude oil market. Due to the new developments to explore unconventional reserve of Shale oil, the price of the crude oil has witnessed the biggest down turn in the last decade.
The changes in the pricing of international crude oil are directly related to pricing of the domestic petroleum product and Gas in India. If the prices of the crude oil fall the spot rate of LNG also reaches to the lower side.
In ONGC-Hazira different division is Marketing, Finance, Production, Human Resource Management, and Operation. In ONGC-Hazira I was given a problem solving project as well as what strategy company should adopt to cope up in this cutthroat competition. Here the problem solving project was on the unutilized capacity of the plant and to improve the customer satisfaction. By that utilization, so I have done.
