Adult World

Adult world is full of obstacles and those obstacles help kids to get mature. Both of the character in movie Max Fischer from Rushmore and Cady Heron from Mean Girls are in Both of the Rushmore and Mean Girls depicts two talented students getting mature in an adult world by following their dreams.

Cady and Max are like kid in adult world. Cady who have never been to the school is like a “fish out of water” like kid out in adult world. In the beginning of the movie they depicted this by showing the problems that Cady faces. She almost got hit by a bus in the beginning of the movie which shows she is entering the dangerous world. Also in the school she faces different problems with teacher and friends. She is in really different place that she has to ask teacher if she is allowed to use bathroom. Also Cady tried to become a nice friend of a girl but she wasn’t treated nice. The film depicted that school is dangerous by using animal kingdom like imagery. Max also enters the adult world by falling in love with a elementary school teacher. The teacher who is an adult is taller than Max who is kid. Also they used sound to show Max is rushmore by using upbeat which is youthful and energetic.

In an article “You Can’t sit with us!”- how fourth-wave feminism became ‘mean Girls.’ by Jennifer Simpkins editor for the Tab London, said “ After all, feminism shouldn’t be about intimidating queen bees and monopolising the prized tiara- it should be about breaking up that tiara and tossing pieces out to the little people, too, so we can all feel equally empowered.” This quote means that rather than fighting and alienating other females, they should be more sharing each other. As in this quote, in the movie, Cady also shared the tiara that she gained. She literally broke the tiara into pieces and shared with other girls cause all of them deserves it. In the beginning every female in the movie wanted to be queen bee or like queen bee. Regina George was the queen bee in the movie. Every wanted the tiara but only one queen bee was allowed own it. But at the end of we were able to see that Cady got mature. Cady shared the tiara with everyone. In the movie Rushmore, Ms.Cross was the queen bee. Max and Mr.Blume are the worker bees. The bees are used lots of times in the movie. The bee was the school’s mascot and Max was the president of the beekeepers club. Also the
