ESSAY #2
Forbes Magazine is geared towards the Business men and women who
are interested in the daily news, technological advances as well as society
issues. This magazine offers information geared towards the business people, it
also contains different types of entertainment such as travel resorts, new vehicles
on the market, and sports related editorials. It can also be said that this
magazine offers some humanitarian articles, although, all of these articles are
somehow linked to matters of money and/or finances.
One such article offered in Forbes magazine informs on the breakthrough
of a new study, called the Cart-2. This study could possibly save millions of lives
and make billions of dollars. The purpose of this study is to measure plaque in
patients arteries, and find a way to target the inflammation and halt it's process.
Creating a drug that can fulfill this task, will be the salvation for many Americans
today, especially since the toll of heart attack sufferers is growing more and more
while making it one of the biggest health problems of today. This information gives
hope to many who are prone to heart attacks, and offers them some hope other than

noticed if you see it in print. (Ozanian, Michael)
One of the leading articles in this type of magazine is of course the
Investing aspect of the industry. As it would be expected from Forbes magazine,
it recently released and article classified in the International Investing section,
called "Demography Plays". The leading line is "How to profit from aging
populations around the globe?" The title can be said to be very self explanatory,
whether it is based on the younger generation having an impact on the future of
the economy, or the older generation who already have much influence in today's
world of finances. In this article, William Sterling, who is an 18 year veteran in the
world of finances, states "If you know the number of 15-year-olds alive today, it's
