After calculating total complaints on ten different types of defects. We will arrange all the defects on the basis of decreasing order( largest to smallest ) .

After arranging all the data from largest to smallest order we will going to make PARATO CHART from the available data.
To make pareto chart we first have to calculate cumulative percentage of the data.

We have calculated cumulative percentage to find out that our top three adds up to 80%

By looking at the figure we can say that ACCORDING TO THE PARETO THEORY- LINE-UPS, EXPIRED PRODUCT & INVOICE ERROR makes up of about 80% of the total complaints so the manager should pay much more attention to these three.
After analysis the top three complaints we will use FISHBONE DIAGRAM to find out reasons of that problem.
FISBONE DIAGRAM also known as cause and effect diagram or ishikawa diagram is used to identify the causes of a problem and categorizing the problem to find out the root cause of the problem.
We will apply FISHBONE DIAGRAM on the top three complaints received to find out the root cause of that problem.
The top three complaints of the dissatisfied customer are :-
- Line-ups
- Expired product.
- Invoice error.
