Slide 7 - Salutation
After setting up the letterhead, you are going to start your letter with salutations, which is a form of greeting like the ones that you would use when talking to someone on the phone. If you know the person who you are writing to by their first names, use the word dear followed by their first name. If you know only their last name use the word dear, followed by Mr. or Ms then their last name, or you could use professional titles like dear professor Howard.
Slide 12 - Subject Lines
After the salutation is the subject line, which tells what the letter Is about. it is required in memos, but optional in letters. in order to have a good subject line, it should be specific, concise and appropriate for your purposes.
Slide 13 - CC/BC
Sometimes, if you send your letter to multiple people and you want the people to know, include the abbreviation “cc” which means carbon-copy or computer-copy. and names of people who are getting the letter should be listed on the last page.
or you can send multiple copies to different people without letting the readers know, and these copies are called blind copies, and they are not mentioned on the original.
Slide 18 - Memo
The standard format of a memo is very similar to a block format letter, but it has no salutation, close, or signature.

Each heading must cover all the information until the next heading, remember that you never use a separate heading for the first paragraph
