Age Differences

The three year difference in age while dating only applies to children under 17. Yet once you hit 17 you are still limited to who you date because the world and the law still think that you are a kid. What is so wrong with dating someone older if they are not twice your age? Nothing. Why can we not meet someone that we like, just to fall in love and be attached emotionally and then be registered a sex offender. Why do we have to suffer? There is nothing wrong with us, we are still kids, but no were not stupid. Just let us stay who we are and date who we date. We are not narrow-minded we don't just think about what we want we know the consequences, we know what were doing. We are not that young any more. How come we are still kids when someone 17 can be charged as an adult for certain crimes but in others eyes, we are still children. At 17 you still are not able to vote but you can be registered as a sex offender, yet you're still too young to date someone older.

I am one person in a million that wishes they were older, or that that one person was younger. We are not in reality. This is our life and this is how it is going to be. At 16 we do think a lot older now in this day and time then our elders did yes they still dealt with serious issues- sex, race, and other things but they didn't mind dating someone older. Society has evolved so much they used to make kids marry older people when they were our age. We are in college classes now that many people still haven't taken. We have a lot of complex thoughts and vision that many people don't see us for. You may still see me as a child or a young kid, but I am a young adult. We are smarter. This has affected me so much in my life, I want to be older; I just can't be so I have to wait. Many young adults have to face many problems like this one. We have so many things that stress us out why does this one have to be bothered with.

Most dads or just parents alone say that all guys want at that age is sex. Not all girls at this age want sex, and we have the will power to stand up to people. We are big girls and boys. Those who will let others take them down do not have the right or the responsibility to date older. Anyone who falls into temptation shouldn't be let do much even if they are older. I want the responsibility and the choice. Parents think that we are such bad kids if we do not sit at home and spend most of our time with them. What are parents going to do when we turn 18 they can't control us after that. They should let us experience things while we are young and we know we will get in trouble. We have a lot clearer future ahead of us we have goals set now but the more protected kids will lose it once they get involved with someone older. Those who have been with someone they want when they were younger no what they want now and wont let someone stupid ruin it.
