Airborne Since 1903
Throughout the twentieth century millions of inventions have been established, big inventions like the automobile all the way to the smallest inventions consisting of earmuffs to the easy-bake-oven to an air freshener. No matter the size every invention has made an impact on the way the world functions today. One of the most impacting inventions was made by the Wright brother in 1903. The Wright brother’s creation was the airplane. Can you imagine what our world would be like if it had no air travel. The following will discuss how the Wright brothers discovered the way to travel in the sky.
Throughout their childhood Wilbur and Orville were encouraged to learn and experiment with new things by their loving parents. The father, Milton, was a bishop in the United Brethren Church and would often be away on trips but would sometimes bring home gifts for the boys. One particular gift started it all. Not only did the brothers determine the right means to fly but also came upon many other aviation highlights. The way the brothers gathered the information necessary to fly was from observing buzzards, and would often read up on the mechanics of flight. These books would
