Alexander Hamilton
Alexander Hamilton is considered a unique and daring thinker during his time. He developed a reputation of being industrious and greatly contributing to the execution of stability for the economy,main politics,military,and industry.His lasting impacts have made him one of the most important figures in American history.
Hamilton’s childhood shaped him into the adulthood he would later have.Born on January 11,1757 on the Caribbean island of Nevis,he was the child of James Hamilton,an unsuccessful Scottish merchant and Rachael Fawcette Lavien.When Alexander was 9,his father deserted his mother along with his brother and him.Eventually,Rachael opened a store to sustain herself and her children economically(Brookhiser).Alexander learned his first form of money handling from working the register.His mother would later grow sick of yellow fever and pass away during 1768.Uncle Peter Lytton took custody of the brothers but unfortunately the following year he became depressed over his wife's death and ended his life.Despite these setbacks,Alexander remained driven and therefore persevered.At the age of 12,he was sent to attend school in what is now Elizabeth,New Jersey due to impressing employers during the time he worked for a trading firm on the United States Virgin Islands(Brookhiser).On July 6th, 1774, Hamilton attended King's College in New York City where he made his first significant public appearance gaining recognition from fellow classmate and friend,Robert Troup,on his ability to briefly state the reasons the patriots were at their every right wanting independence from Britain.Alexander,along with 4 other students,created the Philolexian society,one of the earliest clubs devoted to debates and literature in the United States.
Once his school career ended,he began his 6 year journey in the Corsicans,later renamed the Hearts Of Oak militia in New York (Collier).Here he truly experienced being nationalistic within the community when
