A review on pages 47-101
The novel of "All Families are Psychotic" continues as the family gets closer to each other. A chaotic reuniun takes place in Florida just before Sarah, the astronaut gets launched into space at Cape canaveral. Despite of what had happened in the past, Wade getting shot by his own father, Ted, still decides to help him make money. All they have to do is to pick up a letter from a guy who goes by the name of Norm and deliver it to someone in the Bahamas. It seems that the more psychotic the family gets, the closer they get to each other.
Nothing is ever predictable. Norm, a friend of Wade, was contacted by him. Wade asked him for money, and surprisingly got a job to pay it off. But it involves delivering a letter to someone. While talking to Norm, Norm points out some very interesting points. When Wade mentions that his family is psychotic, Norm replies "All families are psychotic, Wade. Everybody has basically the same family- it's just reconfigured slightly different from one to the next." Actually bringing to the meaning to the text and title of the novel. another thing he mentions; about the rondez-vous point in Disney world. He sais that "nothing ever bad happens in Disney world. It's the only safe place in this fucked up state. I've had many meetings there." Well, unfortunately it was his last. Upon meeting Wade, Ted and Bryan, the power went out. Ted went to the washroom, and when the power came back on Wade found Norm dead. He was told he died of a heart attack. Even when you think your safe, you're life is still in danger. Although in the meantime, Janet, Nickie and Shw went to a restaurant. When it was high-jacked by a couple of guys, Shw managed to walk out of the bathroom when they were on their way out.
