Do you ever think that the kids today are being desensitized? I do some reasons that

make me believe this are TV, video games, and the friends they pick friends.

My first reason that I think that kids are being desensitized is by TV. Today almost

anything and everything is on TV. Music videos that they play on TV show everything

from drugs to sex. Having children watch this could influence them and have them think

that since they do this in the video it is ok and they won't get in trouble if they were to

perform the actions that they are doing in the videos. Also cartoons today have many

messages in them and seeing their favorite character running around with a gun will make

them think hey why I can't do that I want to be like him. Or if they were to see super man

fighting people they might be playing around hitting people thinking they are fighting

crime but they are really hurting their peers.

Next, video games play one of the biggest roles. The reason being is that when they

play the games they get so stuck in a mind set and think that it is ok or they can get away

with it. When they play the games and kill someone it its not big deal to them or if they

get killed it doesn't matter because know that they will come back and everything will be

fine. But the reality of this is that when they try this in real life the children are not fully

aware of the penalties that they will have to face. If a kid were to pull out a gun and

jokingly point it a person people will freak and call the police saying a kid is pointing

his gun at people and you need to do something
