America, today Freedom is at War! The same Freedom that, in 1771, fought alongside thirteen colonies to defeat an entire British empire. The same Freedom who, in 1869, fought hand in hand with Union Soldiers to defeat a surrendering Confederacy. That very Freedom, in 1991, helped U.S. troops liberate a communist land and brought democracy to falling country.
America, Freedom lives through this Nation. And we have called upon Her to assist us in this war. To, once again, fight side by side with our troops so that this Nation can be free.
But today, America, we have an even greater mission to accomplish. We must honor those fallen Heroes in way that can only come close the level of sacrifice that they have given to us. In the past, we erected monuments in the name of those who stood boldly against tyrants and oppressors so that this Nation might be free. But, no statue tall as the greatest mountain can measure up to the amount of blood that was shed so that this Nation could live. In the past, America, we dedicated massive graveyards for those who submitted their bodies for the endurance of this Nation. But, no grave large enough can hold the spirit of those who gave their last breath so that we might live again.
America, I charge each and every one of us here today to give the only offering that would be fit to honor our faithful soldiers. The only gift that can quantify the amount of blood that was shed for our wellbeing as a Nation. To dedicate the only thing that can measure up to what a great blessing our troops have bestowed upon us. Our Hearts!
By dedicating our hearts, we are granting our lives to the troops who gave theirs on the battlefield. With each beat of or hearts we are giving life to a troop that would otherwise be held down in the grave. When we look into our hearts we are erecting the greatest monument ever devoted to such Brave Soldiers. Our hearts represent life and by giving our lives the spirit of our troops
