Everyone at one point in their life has been pressured into doing something they know is wrong, but its up to you to make the right or wrong choice. If you let other people influence and pressure you, you will end up somewhere and someone you don't want to be. A good example of this is the girls from the witch trials in Salem from the Crucible. They were influenced greatly by Abigail to accuse people and keep their "act" going. Even Marry Warren, the one girl who tried to do the right thing and come clean fell to Abigail's intoxicating influence. I can easily relate a situation of my own where I was influenced into doing something I knew was wrong.
My friends and I were at a party where there had been people drinking. Neither I nor my friends drank, but numerous people were. It was about 11:15 and we needed to get home since none of us were driving quite yet. We would have called our parents, but we were not where we had told them we would be that night. This put all of us in a very tough situation. One of our friends who wasn't completely sober asked us if we needed a ride, we quickly said yes panicked that if we didn't we would have no way of getting home. As we were walking to his car I suggested that we just call one of parents to come pick us up but my friends said no way and persuaded me to get in the car.
The consequences of my poor decision to get in the car were unimaginable. As we were driving home our friend was speeding and it just so happened that a cop saw and pulled us over. The policeman made everyone get out of the car; I was in shock and could barely even comprehend what was happening. Our friend had to breathe into the breathalyzer and was arrested for driving under the influence. The cop took down all of our numbers and called our parents. I was terrified of what my parents would say, I knew they would be extremely disappointed and that killed me. When they picked me up they were furious and said that if I would have just called them in the first place none of this would have happened.
