What do you look to before a football game or any sports game? What do you recite the pledge of allegiance to at school? You look to the American flag. This is why I firmly believe that the American flag is one of the United States of America's most prized treasures.
The American flag represents all of our fifty states. It represents our independence
From Britain and what we stand for which is freedom. The flag represents our country and for all we stand for in our nation.
This flag has been through a lot of history. At one point in time in seventeen seventy-six after we won our independence from Britain, the stars on our flag were shaped as a circle. They were shaped as a circle with thirteen stars to represent our thirteen original colonies. When we were bombed on September 11, 2002 our flag was fallen in the rubble and smoke but our New York firefighters pulled up our flag out of the ash and rubble. Even though our country was in terrible tragedy, our country looked at our flag.
Our flag is a symbol in our country. It is a symbol of freedom in our country. It represents our core democratic values, which some countries don't have. A core democratic value is the democracy and rights that we have. Unlike other countries that don't have them, we value then very strongly.
With our flag and what it stands and represents our country, this is why I strongly believe that the American Flag is one of America's most prized treasures. It has represented our country since our revolution and the 13 original colonies and up to today it still represents our country and our freedom. Now this is why I believe the American Flag is one of the United States of America's most prized treasures.
