Throughout my life I have met many influential people, for example my mom, my grandpa, aunts, uncle and others but the most influential is my dad, Dr. Omar Gonzalez. He is a well accredited orthopedic surgeon; known as the best surgeon in his team. My dad taught me how to obtain the best out of life by achieving my goals and also told me how hard he had to work to become a doctor after his father died. My dad at only the age of 13 years old lost his father and was forced to support himself and his mother while still attending High School; because of the tragic death of his father, Omar decided that he wanted to become a neurosurgeon so that one day he would better understand the severity of the head injuries his father over went. He never gave up, he never looked back, and he had a goal that was going to accomplish it by sacrificing himself.

Today my father happens to be one of the most prestigious surgeons in all Cuba; he works in the best orthopedic team, integrated by Albarez Cambra, which is Cuba’s National Medical Director; Tony Castro, son of Cuba’s Ex вЂ"President and some other relevant doctors. I appreciate my dad not only for being a good and successful doctor, but for being such a great father, who always cares about me although he is 90 miles away from me. For all the reasons listed above I arrive to the conclusion that Omar is an excellent example to follow, a leader and a gentleman, reason why he is the person who influences me to go to college.

In five years from now I will have received my bachelor’s degree and will be enrolled in Medical school, following my dad’s steps. I plan on attending St. Thomas University, in which I got accepted and get my bachelor’s degree, after that I want to transfer to Harvard University Medical School Program and finish studying to become an MD. Following graduation from Medical School, the next step in my education is to continue with
