ABSTRACT

An organism or institution is formed by different units, these by groups and them by people. The relationships that are established between them is what gives life to that organism. Hence, communications, which are those that enable these relationships, are an essential element. Better communication helps you get better performance at work. Achieving policy acceptance, receiving cooperation from others, making ideas and instructions clear and producing the necessary changes in performance depend on effective communication. The modern administration of in companies is based on communication in any of its forms. And the ability to communicate effectively must be one of the main skills of intermediate driving, as this is a fundamental prerequisite of good leadership. Many times, the disorganization is nothing more than communication chaos, an accumulation of orders and counter-orders, a lack of clear and precise instructions. Communication is essential to achieve the necessary coordination of efforts in order to achieve the objectives pursued by the organization and its members. Nestlé is a Human Company that responds concretely to the individual needs of human beings throughout the world, placing special emphasis on the welfare of its consumers and its employees, which is reflected in their attitude and in their sense of responsibility towards people. The goal of Nestlé is to increase sales and profits but, at the same time, increase the level and quality of life for everyone in all places where it is active. Likewise, Nestlé is convinced that it is the people who forge their prosperity and that nothing can be achieved without their support and energy, which makes people their most precious asset. The involvement of people at all levels begins with adequate information about the activities of the Company and about the specific aspects of their work. Thanks to open communication and active cooperation, everyone should contribute to improvements that increase results and personal development.

  1. COMPANY BACKGROUND

2.1 History

Henri Nestlé, a German chemist based in Switzerland since 1843 in the town of Vevey, set out to find healthy and affordable alternatives for mothers who could not feed their young children with breast milk. Since then, the Nestlé story begins. From 1866 Henri, began experimenting with various combinations of cow milks, wheat and sugar to develop a product called "Nestlé Milk Wheat Flour", capable of replacing breast milk. In 1867 Nestlé saved his first life, his milk powder allowed to feed a premature baby whose mother was sick. That day, the world's number one food giant was formally born. While this was happening in Switzerland, in Cham, Germany, brothers Charles and George Page had installed a Condensed Milk factory called: Anglo Swiss Condensed Milk Company, a product that became Nestlé's toughest competition. Nestlé means "Little Nest", in the dialect of their region, which is why it is not surprising that they chose the image of a nest as a symbol of their company. The nest interprets attention, warmth and food: values ​​which Nestlé remains faithful to. The success of Nestlé is the sum of a long and distinguished history.

The origins of Nestlé: "The largest Food and Beverage Company in the World" go back to the year 1866 when two competing companies were founded that expanded their business throughout Europe and the United States. In 1867 Charles (American Consul in Switzerland) and George Page, two brothers from Lee County, Illinois, (United States), established the Anglo Swiss Condensed Milk Company factory, in Cham (Switzerland). In 1868 the industrial production of the formula created by Henri, today known as Cerelac, was initiated. This year Daniel Peter began seven years of work perfecting the process of making milk chocolate. Nestlé was the key help that Peter needed to solve the problem of removing all the water from the milk added to his chocolate and prevent the product from developing mold. Henri Nestlé retired in 1875 and the Company under new owners, retained his name as "Société Farine Lactée Henri Nestlé". In 1877, Anglo Swiss added baby milk-based foods to its products. In 1878 the Nestlé Company incorporated condensed milk into its portfolios causing rivalry between the two companies. And in 1879 Nestlé merged with the inventor of milk chocolate, Daniel Peter. At the beginning of the year 1900 the company operated factories in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany and Spain. Factories were also established in Latin America, the first plant was established in Ararás Brasil, later expanding throughout the continent. In 1904 the gentlemen: François-Louis Cailler, Charles Amédée Kohler, Daniel Peter and Henri Nestlé, participated in the creation and development of the Swiss chocolate, commercializing the first Nestlé chocolate milk. In 1905 the Companies, Farine Lactée Henri Nestlé and Anglo Swiss Condensed Milk Company merged to become: "Nestlé & Anglo-Swiss Condensed Milk Company" name that was conserved until 1947.The new chocolate and condensed milk were the most distinctive products of the company, the Anglo contributed to the new company three factories in Switzerland, four in England and two in Norway. Nestlé, for its part, completed the new assets with four plants in Switzerland, Norway, the United States, Great Britain, Germany and Spain. In 1938 a new product called Nescafe was taken which ironically, the war helped with its introduction to the market, eight years of research result in a soluble powder, which became a basic beverage that is quickly recognized worldwide as coffee preferred by the American Armed Forces during World War II. In the year of 1947 it was merged with Alimentana, the Maggi Company that had discovered mixtures for soups and related food products, created in 1884. Since 1996, several international acquisitions have been made, but undoubtedly the strongest have been: Purina in 2002 and Gerber in 2007.
