The book Animal Farm By George Orwell was a ver complex, informing and interesting book. In the story George Orwell uses animals to show people of power and the common people during the Russian Revolution. The book starts of with Major explaining to all the animals in the farm how they are being treated wrongly and how they can over throw their owner, Mr Jones. Major was a pig, who later died soon after the meeting, but the animals being inspired by his philosophy of animalism plot a rebellion against Mr Jones.

Two other pigs in the story, snowball and Napoleon, prove themselves important and the brain behind this dangerous act. After Jones forgot to feed the animals the revolution occurs, and Jones and his men were chased of the farm. The farm that was firstly known as Manor farm was renamed Animal Farm, they painted on the barn wall the seven commandments of animalism.

After the rebellion was a success, the animals completed the harvest and started to meet every Sunday to debate on the intelligence of the pigs, they became supervisor of the farm. Napoleon, who was a power greed leader, started stealing the cow's milk and a number of items to feed himself and other pigs. He enlisted the service of squealer, and was of a point that the pigs are always moral and correct in their decision.

Mr Jones and his men return to Animal Farm and attempted to retake the farm but with the idea of Snowball, the animals defeated Jones in what then became known as the battle of the Cowshed.
