My idea of Anthropology is professional men that study the history and different cultures of man kind. In the article that I read it was said that during the war the Iraqi army burned down a museum that might have contained many things that could have told us about their culture. Anthropologist was trying to get what they could from the burned museum. In my mind this relates to the idea of what anthropology is all about.

There are so many things that we do not know about their past and present culture. Searching through burned material I would imagine is very difficult. It's a major problem but hopefully the team can work together to discover what they can.

I always thought of anthropology as learning things about the past. Now I know that we are still learning things about different cultures even today.
I think the finding in Iraq is very interesting. I plan to read more
