Many communities in El Paso have problems that need to be fixed. Some of these problems may be small ones and some of them may be real big ones. Since El Paso is quite big and there are many neighborhoods and streets we may not even be aware of problems that could be existing.
I live in an apartment complex called Los Balcones. These apartments are located on the street of Zaragoza. They are real nice and spacious on the inside. The colors on the outside are very rich and welcoming. The whole little community has a very appealing feel to it. They have a pool and a 24 hour gym the residents have access to. Now although it might seem like there couldn’t be anything wrong with this apartment complex, there actually is. The downside to Los Balcones Apartments is their parking. Due to their limited parking many residents are always struggling to find a decent parking space that isn’t to far away from their apartment. I have noticed that there are a few residents that own about four vehicles and that is what causes the limited parking. I would also like to point out that some of these vehicles are not even in working condition. Therefore some of these cars are just taking up valuable space that could be used properly by someone else.
The last thing anyone wants coming home from a long day at work is to worry about finding parking! It is absolutely ridiculous that we are paying almost 900 dollars a month to come to find that parking is not guaranteed. We valuable residents are forced sometimes to park outside the gated apartment complex which is just not something that is acceptable. As a highly promoted luxury apartment complex; to be quite honest I see nothing luxury about having to walk about a block back to your apartment building.
This is why I want to propose a great solution for this dilemma. I have put a lot of time and sense into this proposal and think it could be capable of fixing this problem for good. One way we could improve this problem is to give out a notice to every resident. This notice given out would state that there is a vehicle limit that would be reduced to strictly 2 vehicles per household. The staff management would have to be on the lookout constantly to make sure everyone is complying with the new rule. But first the management from Los Balcones Apartments would have to register the resident’s vehicles to make sure no one that isn’t living here is parking here either. This proposal wouldn’t break the bank nor be something that would be an inconvenience to you. It would be something simple but with a lot of power to change the overcrowded parking. The residents from the apartment would be given 3 verbal warnings if this new rule were to be broken. If by then they still do not wish to comply, they would be given a ticket which would result in them paying a fine.
