Introduction

Motivation as the process that account for an individual’s intensity, direction, and persistence of effort toward attaining a goal. While general motivation is concerned with effort toward any goal we’ll narrow the focus to organizational goal in order to reflect to our singular interest in work related behavior.

The three element of our definition are intensity, direction and persistence. Intensity describes how hard a person tries. This is the elements most of us focus on when talk about motivation. However, high intensity is unlikely to lead to favorable job performance outcome unless the effort is channeled in the direction that benefits the organization therefore; we consider the quality of effort as well as its intensity. Effort directed toward, and consistent with, the organization’s goal is the kind of effort we should be seeking. Finally motivation has a persistence dimension.

Applying motivational concept to practice such a concept to practice such as employee involvement and skill based pay. Because it’s one thing to know specific theories; it’s quite another to see how, a manager can use them.

Objective of study

I. To develop our Knowledge how of applying the motivational theories in Knit Asia Ltd. garments employee.

II. And provide more valuable information for those who wants to attend in this garments as manager.

Primary Objective

The report aims to provide information on suggest more valuable step to use the motivational theories to motivate the employee of Knit Asia Ltd. through HR department.

Scope of research

There is a certain boundary to cover this report. Our particular report only covers major motivational theories followed in Knit Asia Ltd. So we mainly focus on those theories only.

Limitations of the Study

There are certain limitations while preparing this report:

 Shortage of time:

Within a short time, we need to prepare some other courses’ reports for in this semester. For this reason, we could not get a fluent time schedule for the report.

 Limitation of related with the organization:

The employees of Knit Asia Limited were too busy of their work. For this, they did not sufficient time to fulfill our queries and some of them neglected us to support.

 Difficulty in collecting data:

Many employers of the organization were not well known about all information that we asked them. Many of them also hesitated to answer the questions. For the confidentiality concern, access to some information was not available. These things hampered the information collection.

Methodology

Both primary and secondary sources are used to collect information for this report. Main source of information about the business of the Nestlé Bangladesh and for the analysis is the training functions are taken from the Human Resource department.

• Selection of the topic:

The topic of the study was assigned by the respected faculty. While assigning the topic necessary recommendations and suggestions were provided by the faculty to make this report a well organized and perfect one.

• Sources of Collecting Data

We are collecting through two types that are

I. Primary data II. Secondary data

Primary Data:

The employees of Knit Asia Ltd were too busy of their work. For this, they did not sufficient time to fulfill our queries and some of them neglected us to support.

Secondary Data:

We collecting data and some valuable information by internet from Knit Asia Ltd. Official web-site and others web site

• Classification, analysis, interpretations and presentation of data:

Some pictorial tools are used in this report for analyzing the collected data and to classifying those to interpret them in a clear and understandable manner.

• Findings of the study:

The collected data were scrutinized and were pointed out and shown as findings. Few recommendations are also made for improvement of the current situation.

Knit Asia Ltd is a registered private limited company.

Back ground

Knit Asia Limited manufactures and markets fabrics and garments. The company offers single jersey and 1x1 rib fabrics, including allover printed knits; men’s, ladies, and children’s knit wears; screen printing services; and embroidery services. It provides its products in the United States, Spain, France, Germany, Sweden, Germany, the United Kingdom, Germany, New Zealand, Hong Kong, and Switzerland. The company was founded in 2000 and is based in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Nature of business

Knit Asia Ltd. is a garments manufacturer and market garments. It provides products abroad like USA, various European countries, New Zealand, Hong Kong etc.

Mission and vision

We firmly believe that the global textile and clothing industry will continue to grow and Bangladesh will be a key participant in this growth. With our strong export presence in textile and an increasing local demand, we plan to continuously grow in our existing businesses i.e. knitting, dyeing, finishing and clothing. In addition, we are also seriously looking at other areas like home textiles, synthetic fibers and yarns and dress material manufacturing. We have plans to extend our services further to product development, designing, fashioning and also to move our products to the door steps of our customers. We will pursue to find strategic partners with whom we can attain our strength to achieve the above goals.
