Unions today are as necessary as they were during the Industrial Revolution. Unions Ð'ÐŽÐ'oare association of workers that combine forces and demand of different workers.Ð'ÐŽÐ'± (R18) During the Industrial Revolution, the unions had certain demands such as higher wages, better working conditions, and less working hours, even though some countries, the developed countries do have those laws enforced, while the other countries donÐ'ÐŽÐ'Їt have basic working rights. A large percentage of the countries donÐ'ÐŽÐ'Їt have the basic working laws enforced, it is necessary for rest of the countries other than the developed ones to have unions to enforce the laws the workers deserve. Even though, the workers in developed countries have the basic working rights, unions are still needed, for now because the standards of the working rights are already and set and stable, improvements can be made to respect the workers even more, such as the demand for equality for men and women in wages, fairness in firing workers, and many more.
In addition, unions are needed because it helps the workers in many aspects. Unions unites workers, which can actually help while working for it requires people to cooperate, which is a skill that is needed when working with other people. Also when actually going on a strike, it makes the strikes more effective, because unions provide organized strikes, and they assert what it is they wanted clearly as a group. In which it convinces the owners effectively, rather than having unorganized individuals shouting out what they want. Because improvements can always be made, and unions help workers individually and as group, unions are still needed today.
