Regional cooperation in Asia is the collaboration of all Asian countries to take collective actions that would allow greater interaction, thus resulting in higher volume of trade and foreign investment. It is only through the development of the various financial systems that financial stability in the region can be achieved. The standard of living will be raised with the improvement in environmental, health and social conditions in Asian countries.
There have been various initiatives from numerous organizations in an effort to work on Asian Regional Cooperation. One main focus is on the economic prospects because poverty in Asia is very prevalent. As such, efficient and effective regional cooperation between countries is necessary to improve living standards and thereafter, successfully reducing regional poverty. An example of such an organization is the Asian Development Bank which has adopted strategies to counter poverty. These organizations will constantly require funding by the wealthier countries to reduce the widening of rich poor gap. Even as many non-profitable organizations have risen over the years to deal with the poverty in Asia, poverty in developing Asia remains as a massive problem and is one of Asia’s most important challenges with about 60% of the continent living in absolute poverty. The Asian Regional Cooperation has a significant role to play in the prosperity of Asia as a continent.

Next, movement of extremist groups should be closely monitored to ensure that the world is able to act before any attack. Through the cooperation between security forces of Asian countries, extremists groups can be eradicated, if not, at least impeded. Collaboration between nations of different cultural and racial backgrounds can encourage exchange between its people to allow better understanding of each other’s differences. Appreciation of this unique diversity can prevent conflicts, and also strengthen bonds between countries and its people.
These two challenges are of paramount importance among other areas in which the Asian Regional Cooperation is desirable to allow prosperity in Asia through sustained economic growth. Other areas of concern include environmental concerns which include issues such as climate change.
I believe that even as the political leaders take the frontline in working towards better relationships between nations, it is only through education that these mutual understanding and collaboration can go far. Collaboration between nations of different cultural and racial backgrounds can encourage exchange between its people to allow better understanding of differences. An appreciation of this unique diversity can prevent conflicts, and also strengthen bonds between countries and its people.
In this era of globalization, many nations, particularly those developed countries have been greatly affected. One of the positive impacts of globalization is the large volume of trade as well as capital movement which has resulted in economic growth and modernization of many countries.
