Attendance Policy
Dear audience this paper is about a ridiculous rule that is now in place at Copper Hills High called the "quote un quote" attendance policy and having an after school job and how it affects attendance, responsibility and daily skills needed to make it in the real world.
Having a after school job is great and provides you with many of the necessary skills you will need when you have moved out and are all on your own. Skills you earn include financial stability, self worth and a greater understanding of the real world.
Having a job when you're in school will teach you how to be responsible by having to balance both school and work and also your personal life, I know that people might think that it is to hard for a teenager to balance all of this, but it is possible this fact is supported by outside resources.
Having an after school job while your still in school shows to your employer that are responsible and would be a great hire or would be suitable for a greater position in the company.
The attendance policy at Copper Hills is not making this an easy task on behalf of you only get three absences and three tardy's in each class. This affects you by not being able to sleep in if you had to work a few more hours or stay home to catch up on your homework. It really makes it hard for teenagers to keep up on stuff but like I said it can be done.
This attendance policy is seriously a joke it needs to be abolished so that hard working teenagers like me can have a job and still have keep up there grades! As long as a student can keep up there grades why should attendance matter?
So in conclusion the attendance policy needs to be terminated so that kids can get a head start in life.
