Audi of America is a luxury car company that is owned by Volkswagen of America. The Audi of America goals is to be the sales and marketing arm for Audis in the US market. Audi also offers a wide range of financial services to its company. The Audi Bank offers competitive loans to its customers who need to finance their purchase. Audi's major competitors include BMW, Chrysler (Mercedes), and the Ford Motor company.
Audis key success is directly related to the excellent leaders working for the company. These key people include EVP (executive vice president) Johan de Nysschen, who was recently promoted from president of Audi Japan and is now responsible for all aspects of Audi business in the US and Canada. Another key person in the company is Chief Operating officer Tim del Franco, and is in charge of directing all operations in the United States. Previously, Franco was the operations director for Mazda America and was hired by Audi in 2005. The chief marketing officer, Scott Keogh, is in charge of marketing all Audi products in America and he was previously employed as Mercedes marketing director for North American operations. Jeff Kuhlman, the chief communications officer, is responsible for communicating company issues with the other chief executives. Stephen Berkov, is the director of marketing for the US and is responsible for not only making sure the Audi brand is portrayed to the American public as a fine luxury car, but to also maintain the appearance of the Audi as not just a car but as a "lifestyle".
