Dunkin' Donuts and Baskin-Robbins restaurants.

Dunkin Donuts

Being one of the largest coffee chains in the world, they average over 4 million donuts and 2.7 million cups

of coffee sold daily. They have roughly 7,500 different locations in more than 30 countries. The company was

founded in Quincy, Massachusetts, by William Rosenberg in 1950. In time Dunkin Donuts became famous for their

different donuts and baked goods. Dunkin Donuts also later became known for their fresh brewed iced and hot

coffee in a variety of flavors.

Baskin-Robbins

Baskin-Robbins is one of the world's largest hard serve ice cream franchise. It was in 1946 in

Glendale, California, when the Baskin-Robbins chain was founded. They now have more than 2,800 outlets in the U.S.

and is famous for their variety of creative flavors. In fact they serve more than 3.7 million

people each week. Baskin-Robbins has a healthy portion of frozen ice cream treats from ice cream cones to shakes and cakes.

Baskin-Robbins also has more than 5,800 outlets in more than 4o countries.

Financial Info:

The financial standing of the company saw operating profits increase by 7% at the end of their fiscal year on

August 31, 2003. As a result the net revenue increased 3.7% to $346.7 million. The company also gained a system-wide

sales growth of 5% and opened 1,304 more new locations in that year. Dunkin' Brands is owned by a group

of private investment firms. Dunkin Brands has three investors, who of which are Bain Capital, The Carlyle Group, and

Thomas H. Lee Partners, L.P.

Community Outreach:

The Dunkin Brands Community Foundation helps in the support of emergency response organizations so they have the capacity

and leadership to respond when the community needs them most. By supporting these organizations they believe they

can make a difference in the communities.

The organizations and populations they support are, relief workers who leave their families, firefighters who risk their

lives to save the others, counselors who spend time talking to victims of disasters, and emergency medical service teams

that save people's lives. Their theme is, "Serving Those Who Serve in Our Communities--Especially in Times of Crisis."

Ultimately, the mission of the Dunkin Brands Community Foundation is to bring the people and brands of their organization

together to support the service and leadership of those who protect the community.
