It is no doubt that the issue about single-sex education has been discussed for many years. A lot of people have started to voice their opinion on this matter, some believing it is beneficial, and others advocating the issue is disadvantage. There were plenty of articles talking about single-sex education in everywhere; some scholars argue that single-sex education is one of the solutions to many of America educational flaws. They give multiple arguments supporting the notion single-sex education, but there are also some scholars acknowledge many arguments against single-sex education. Either single-sex education or coeducational have strengths and weaknesses, but single-sex education system should exist in all education system.

The first reason for supporting single-sex education is that boys and girls have different learning way and speed. It’s no questions that most of girls are more perceptual so that they have talent in philology or music or anything need strong feelings; meanwhile, boys are more rational than girls, so they will be good at science or math or something need to calculate. Therefore, teachers in single-sex school can formulate a special system to teach by following the learning speed and characteristics of students. The system can be helpful for students because it is one hundred percent customized to those who study in the single-sex school. It is wonderful that students can pursue good grades by a comfortable temple.

The second reason to support single-sex education is that single-sex school creates a suitable environment to their students. All of teenagers have to face some particular problems during their growth process. They will have lots of personal questions while their study course and they need somebody to share. Once students can’t find someone who is close to them talking about their growth worries or little secrets, those vexations will definitely bother them for a long time. In case of they are anxious about their problems, but there are no one can give them a hand; it may influence their study. So, if students go to a school which only have the same gender with themselves, teenagers will feel more comfortable while sharing some private information to each other.

Finally, the last reason of encouraging students attend in a single-sex school is to prevent them from getting involve with emotional problems. We all know that teenagers will be curious about the opposite sex, and if students join the coeducation school, it’s much easier for them to create some romance with each other. Once they fall in love with someone, they may get less attention on the study. It’s quite serious cause those students don’t seem to well-prepared for learning how to love. In the end, this problem will make them heartbroken so that they probably won’t concentrate on the class. Therefore, if students go to single-sex school, there will not have too many problems about their emotion. Single-sex school provides an environment which is simpler than coeducational school.
