He helped Nixon win the presidency and became his special counsel at age 38. In 1984 he will become Big Brother’s knight and control all thought polices to do what must be done. But in such kinds of surveillance every make mistake, Colson may not make the same mistake Winston made which in fall in love with a girl but Colson will finally failed him self just like the Watergate incident. Because of his involvement in the Watergate Scandal, he pled guilty and served his prison time.      God is also invisible just like Big Brother in 1984 and also powerful just like Nixon, why finally Colson choose follow God. From seven men book, Colson read“Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart” (Psalm 37) . After he had seen the dark of Oceania he realized that God is light, Oceania needs to be saved by God. If Colson’s loyalty to Big Brother is from his greed and desire than his faith to The Holy Spirit must be pure. Trying to save 1984 won’t be easy, he way be took to room 101. But just like he said on book:  “God, I don’t know how to find you, but I’m going to try! I’m not much the way I am now, but somehow I want to give myself over to you.”. Even he had been brainwashed, God will always lead Colson to goodness.
