Education is a skill or knowledge develop or obtained by a learning process and how you take advantage of it . In education, our social class can also take a important role for it. Those who are educated are the ones who have things the way they want. In the book Bodega Dreams by Ernesto Quiñonez, there are examples on how education plays a important role in two different Characters lives in different ways .In Bodega Dreams the author show us the difference of education with two strong characters with their social class by showing how their actions are and what they dedicate themselves to. The two characters that demonstrate this len , that social class can interfere with your education is the Narrator Enrique and the character Willie Bodega.
The Novels narrator, Chino is a young man who grew up in Spanish Harlem.Chino is a person that want to see the world in a different prespective. He hopes to one day leave the place the place in which he lives in, like Chino said “You know, sapo”I said to him one day when we are preparing to fly kites on the roof of a project,”if we could ride on top of these things, we can get out of here.you know?(pg 11, Round 1). He has dreams and Ambitions that he has reach and still wants to reach.In this novel chino is a narrator/character that feels that the only way to feel alright is if you have a status home and in school.
