I read this article a while back that said that Microsoft employee's more millionaire secretaries then any other company in the world. they took stock options over christmas bonuses.........It was a good move.......I remember there was this photograph of one of the grounds keepers next to his Ferrari....Blew my mind. You see shit like that and it just plants seeds, makes you this its possible, even easy. And then you turn on the T,V and there's this moron. The 87 million dollar lottery winner, that kid actor who just made 20 million on his last movie, that internet stock that just shot through the roof, you could have made millions on it if you had just gotten in early, and thats exactly what I wanted to do, Get in. I didn't want to be an in-evader, I just wanted to make the quick and easy buck. Notorious B.I .G said it best, your either slinging crack rock or you got a wicked jump shot, nobody wanted to work for it no more, there's no honor in taking that after school job at Micky D's, honor is in the dollar kid. So I went the white boy way of slinging crack rock, I became a stock broker. So I got in on this firm JT Marlin, owned by this guy Michael Bradley, a salesman among salesman......
(3 months earlier....)
I was living in Kew Garden Hills, running my biz, giving the college kids something to between classes with a small little card spot out of my apartment. I was doing well......
(Knocking at door)
(Seth) Its strange to think how that knocked changed everything. Hey don't get me wrong, I don't believe in fate, I believe in odds....That knock led me to the 1st day i stepped foot in JT Marlin for an interview, which actually turned into what they said would be a group interview. I was making good money at the casino but these guys were macing it hard, thats the level I wanted to be operating on. So I drove out to long Island, way out. The office was a good hour away from Wall Street. Somebody forgot to tell the guys who worked there though. They Looked and acted like they took the six train to Fulton Street every morning. But It wasn't Wall Street, It was exit 53 on the Long Island Expressway, A good hour from the New York Stock Exchange.
Group interview my ass! It was like a Hitler youth rally in retrospective.
