Book Review

Book: Jewel Thieves #3—Keep friends close, emeralds closer

Author: Hope McLean

Company: Scholastic

The Jewels Thieves is a set of books which now available up to the 4th book, however, in this book review, I am only going to review about the 3rd book; Keep friends close, emeralds closer.

Summary:

The third book of the book series Jewels Thieves is the book Keep friends close, emeralds closer. This book is about the group of girls who called themselves the Jewels, which always participates in a competition named Quiz Bowl, need to continue the ”Jewel Hunt” to protect an jewel which belongs to a reality TV show star. However during their mission, tensions are running high, and with TV crews and celebrity stars everywhere, they are finding hard to concentrate and to continue on their mission. However, sadly during the mission their friendship starts to break up.

Characters:

In this book, the main characters are the Jewels, who are Jasmine Johnson, Erin Fischer, Willow Albern, and Lili Higashida. They are the group called Jewels at the Quiz Bowl. They are a very perfect team with Jasmine, the Jewel’s gem genius and specialist, Erin, a history and geography guru, Willow, the team captin, who could beat a calculator when it comes to math questions and problems and last but not least, Lili, who is the art, music, and literature expert, and also the team’s fashion designer.

However, in my own opinion, I like Lili the most because, she is a smart, gentle, and likes to help her teammates. In this story, she is the one who always solve friendship problems and a lot of jewels problems.

Recommendation:

I really like this book because it’s very interesting and makes me feel like a character in the book too! I really liked this book and I would like to recommend it to all of my classmates, friends, family members and teachers. Hope you’ll all enjoy reading this book!
