i recently read a friend of mines note, and decieded to throw on my own little tid bit about the "good book". How often have things been mis translated. Or worse, been changed by men in power to have the bible suit there rules and regulation to scare the public into doing what they want. I know that that is not common these days. but when King henry the eighth was in power he had changed the bible several times to suit his laws. and burning all original copies of the bible so that it couldnt be used against him. i dont know about you, but to me that is ery unsettling about what word was changed.
and before reading on. I IN NO WAY MEAN TO INSULT ANYONES PERSONAL BELIEFS IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM. just to be clear.
in my personal belief, using the bible in defence of any religous arguement should be nul and void, due to the facet that it was written by the imperfect hand of man... and people know how people and passing on stories goes.. look at the game of telephone tag! it may be a kids game, but a perfect example, how much does everything get twisted around by the end. yes, sometimes the message isnt wrong at the end. but how often is it wrong? so how do we know that the message that was given by god wasnt confused and reworded so many times that we ended up like a bad game of telephone tag?
i belive that somethings in the bible are right. and i believe some are wrong. But then that bring up the little thing of.. what is right and what is wrong. this is why i personally ignor the existance of the bible almost in the whole. and i dont think that i am going to e punished in the end ethier. due to the fact that the good lord wants us to work off blind faith... and you arent exactly working off blind faith if you believe the bible to be tangible evidence, are you?
not to mention the MANY MANY loop holes and contradictions.. which im not even going to START with cause i dont have that kind
