Some may remember Brian Conner as the chauvinistic, Wolf Blass drinking, womanizing pig, but the loyal few that gather here today remember him as the man who had his fair share of life’s ups and downs. Although from the outside some may disagree he loved his family true and had always fought his hardest to hold us all together. I remember Katy saying a few years ago following Dad’s operation "I guess any institution that can incorporate sociopaths, [drunken womanizers], homosexuals and Christians, who still manage to speak to one another, must have something going for it."

I think that there where and still are a number of things going for us as a family. Dad’s desire to be a better father and re-write the wrong’s of the past following his life saving operation ten years ago was certainly one of them. That is of course what we are here to honor today.

My mother, at first hated him but after thousands of requests she eventually agreed to go on a date with him, somewhere she saw something in him and they hit it of and here we all are now. I guess its just one of those thinks that happen in the dances between men and women.

Dad was a proud father and he spoilt us so much it was embarrassing well for me anyway, Susy and Katy enjoyed there yearly trips all over the world and gold American Express cards a little too much to be embarrassed. One time when Susy was twelve our mother dressed her up for a party when Dad dropped her off a group of boys where teasing her, Susy was devasted
