The article focuses on a company called Cinetransformer; it is a company in Mexico that has created trucks that is virtually a portable movie theatre. The company was designed to bring movies to the people of Mexico following a mass closing of theatres. The trucks consist of 72 to 95 seats, a satellite antenna dish, 1.8-meter antenna to download large digital files, a Sony HD LCD projector, a 6' by 12' movie screen, air conditioning, 11-speaker surround sound system, and a detachable generator. They also can be accompanied by an outdoor box office, concession stand and outdoor video screens. The practicality of bringing the movies to the people seems great but the best part of this invention seems to be that it can be used for so much more. The article expresses the use for training in corporations. These theatres can be used to train people from video that can be set up in digital quality to receive live transmissions from all over the world. They can also be used to update every day people in their need to know new technology by bringing the trucks to smaller rural areas that normally cannot receive information.
The concept of the trucks seems pretty amazing but just in the fact that these trucks show digital pictures that do not weaken with use seems to be a great advantage of these movie showings. The applications of their internet feeds also can bring the movies to the people faster with the capability to receive movies sent directly from the studios into these trucks. The street legal trucks have definite advantages for business as well because if business is slow you can pick up and move to another location. The Cinetransformer will definitely change the way people view movies and as I see it, entirely for the better.
